Carberryi Anthias (Nemanthias carberryi) Care
These fish require an aquarium of at least 75 gallons and will do well in both reef tanks and fish-only tanks. They are schooling fish and need plenty of room to swim, good water flow, and places to hide in the tank. Anthias school in harems with one male and multiple females; if the male dies, the dominant female with change sex to become the male. They should be housed with other non-aggressive fish.
Anthias are reef safe and will not bother coral, inverts or other fish, except other anthias species.
Carberryi Anthias are carnivorous and must be fed a diet rich in meaty foods. They Will readily accept most meaty frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, krill, vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, finely chopped shrimp, clams, mussels along with high quality flake and pellet food. Feed small amounts 2 to 3 times per day and put the food in so it drifts down to the fish.
If it is appearing to not be getting sufficient food, try some live foods, fortified brine shrimp.
