Arrowhead Basslet (Belonoperca chabanaudi) Care
The Arrowhead Basslet, Belonoperca chabanaudi, is also known as the Arrowhead Soapfish and is not very common in the aquarium hobby. These fish come from the Indo-Pacific region. The body is a greyish-blue color with black markings, the caudal peduncle has a saddle-like yellow spot and there is a large black spot on dorsal fin.
These fish are carnivores and should be provided a diet of meaty foods like mysis and brine shrimp, as well as small pieces of fresh seafood like shrimp, scallops, clams, and fish. Arrowhead Soapfish are semi-aggressive and may eat smaller inverts in your tank and bully peaceful tankmates.
They should be kept in an aquarium of at least 75 gallons or more.
