Assorted Goatfish (Parupeneus sp.) Care
Random Available Goatfish:
Can Include Bicolor Goatfish, Goldsaddle Goatfish, Red Goatfish, Manybar Goatfish and others.
Goatfish are carnivores and require a diet rich in meaty foods, such as fresh and frozen seafood, including mysis and brine shrimp and chopped squid, scallops, fish flesh, shrimp, clam, etc.
Goatfish requires a covered aquarium of at least 125 gallons with plenty of live rock, sand, and room to swim. They will sift through the sand for tiny inverts, crustaceans, and worms.
These fish are considered reef safe “with caution” because although they won’t typically bother corals, they will eat invertebrates.
