Blue Linckia Starfish (Lincka laevigata) Care
The Blue Linckia Starfish, Lincka laevigata, is also known as the Blue Star and the Blue Linckia. These sea stars come from the Indo-Pacific region. They have a beautiful blue body.
They are omnivores and do best in a well-established aquarium with plenty of algae, detritus, and organic matter for them to feed on. Their food can be supplemented with algae pellets.
Blue Linckia Sea Star’s can grow up to 12″ and require an aquarium of at least 100 gallons with plenty of live rock and a deep sand bed. They are peaceful and will not harm corals, fish nor other invertebrates.
NOTE: These sea stars are very sensitive to changes in salinity so acclimation should be done very slowly.
