Red Fromia Starfish (Fromia milleporella) Care
The Red Fromia Starfish, Fromia milleporella, is also known as the Red Sea Star. These sea stars come from the Indo-Pacific region. They have a bright red body with tiny black spots on the body and arms.
They are omnivores and do best in a well-established aquarium with plenty of algae, detritus, and organic matter for them to feed on. Their food can be supplemented with algae pellets.
Red Fromia Sea Star’s can grow up to 6″ and require an aquarium of at least 30 gallons with plenty of live rock and a deep sand bed. They are peaceful and will not harm corals, fish nor other invertebrates.
NOTE: These sea stars are very sensitive to changes in salinity so acclimation should be done very slowly.
