PLEASE NOTE: We only ship to customers located in the Continental U.S. and Alaska. We do not ship to Hawaii, APO addresses, Post Office Boxes, Puerto Rico, other U.S. Territories, or other countries. 

The day your order ships, you will receive an e-mail containing your item numbers and tracking number(s) so you can make arrangements to receive your order upon scheduled arrival. You should receive your tracking information approximately one hour after shipments depart from our facility which is usually around 6:00 pm PST.

Please be sure to review the Acclimation Guide prior to receiving your order. Please follow the steps outlined in this guide carefully to ensure the good health of your new arrivals.

Packaging & Shipping Information for Livestock:

  • Livestock is hand-packed with care and expertise to reduce stress.
  • Thick Styrofoam coolers are used to insulate and protect livestock.
  • We use quality cardboard boxes, heat packs, cool packs, and space-age thermal bags to keep animals at a comfortable temperature.
  • Specimen bags are packed tightly with no room to move or shift during shipping.
  • Each specimen is placed in its own thick plastic bag, sometimes double or triple bagged, with plenty of water and oxygen for the trip.
  • Boxes are labeled ‘LIVE FISH’ with large UP arrows.
  • We do everything we can to decrease stress on livestock so it arrives healthy and ready for acclimation into your tank.

This category includes fish, corals, invertebrates, plants/algae, and pre-built reef cleaner packages.

All livestock orders are shipped via UPS Next Day Air to reduce stress on the animals and plants – we use the best price to save you money. FishyBusinessAquatics.com ships livestock nationwide (only continental U.S.) year-round. All livestock ships from California.

Please  make sure that somebody is home to take delivery of your package when it arrives. We cannot be held responsible for any livestock lost if a drop off is missed or a package is left unattended for an extended period of time.

If more than one box is needed to ship your order, additional shipping costs will occur. 99% of all orders can easily fit in our small, regular or oversized boxes, but there are cases when additional boxes may be needed. Customer Service will notify you before shipping your order if any additional boxes are required and what the additional fee is. An example of this is if you order3 large triggerfish and they each need their own large box. If this occurs you have the option to either remove some items from your order or get a full refund if you do not wish to pay the additional shipping fee.

Larger items like some sharks and rays require large crates that can only be shipped via air freight. These items do not qualify for free shipping and shipping fees will need to be paid when the crate is picked up from the airport.

Free shipping on orders over $199 is applied to the first box only. Each additional box needed will be subject to additional charges, we will work with you on a case by case basis in these situations.

SHIPPING DETAILS

All livestock orders, including fish, corals, invertebrates, plants/algae, reef cleaner packages, and some live foods, ship via UPS Next Day Air (by 10:30 a.m. to most locations, by 12:00 Noon to some rural areas.) For the health of your animals, every livestock order is shipped in a thick Styrofoam cooler that insulates the contents from any damage or extreme temperatures. Livestock order totals are processed separately from refrigerated and frozen food, live rock & sand, and aquarium supply orders. Returns – Because of the complex packaging procedures for all aquatic life and our primary concern for the health and well-being of all the livestock we offer, we cannot accept any returns of any aquatic life for any reason.

Reef packages are shipped via USPS 2nd Day Air. Fishy Business Aquatics ships reef packages nationwide (only continental U.S.) year-round. All of the items in this category ship from Florida and California.

Items in this category ship every Tuesday for delivery on Thursday via USPS 2nd Day Air. Reef packages ship for free when you spend $89.99 or more, otherwise, they ship for $19.99.

DETAILS: All frozen food orders ship at a flat rate of $24.99 via UPS Next Day Air Saver. In order to preserve the nutritional value of frozen and refrigerated foods, these types of orders are shipped in Styrofoam boxes with cold packs to maintain proper temperatures. Note: We are not able to ship these items with livestock orders, which require warmer temperatures. Frozen orders are processed separately from livestock to qualify for the $24.99 flat shipping rate. Exclusions may apply.

Returns: For aquarium supplies, we recommend contacting the manufacturer first on any warranty issues. Most manufacturers prefer to handle their own warranties and it usually results in a quicker turnaround time for you. If a product does need to be returned to us, please call us at 855-237-0999 within 30 days for a return authorization number. Mark the return authorization number on the outside of the package very clearly. Items received without a return authorization number or after the 30-day time period will not be processed.

The customer is responsible for return shipping and insurance on returned items. For non-defective items, a 15% re-stocking fee will be assessed.

This category includes all rock and sand.

All rock orders are shipped via UPS Ground from California. All sand orders are shipped USPS Priority Mail from Florida unless the customer chooses to upgrade the shipping services.
